2018 – A Very Good Year

New offices, new technologies, new doctors and more contributed to one of our best years ever. At Elko Dental Specialists, we’re proud of our role in the community and the fact that our patients get the most experienced doctors and the most patient-friendly approaches to treatment.

In 2018 we added a state-of-the-art 3D x-ray machine (Conebeam) that provides incredible detail while using less radiation than traditional x-ray machines. Our doctors all agree that better information at the start of treatment equals better results and this is one more way we bring big city experience and technology to Elko so our patients never have to leave town to get the best treatment. We also added a 3D printer so we can print things like retainers and other appliances right in the office.

Our orthodontists introduced a revolutionary new braces system, the Pitts 21, into our practice and also added lingual braces – the braces that hide on the back side of your teeth for the ultimate in invisible treatment. With Pitts 21, treatment is more efficient so you can get to your new smile even faster.

Our doctors had some exciting events this past year. Dr. Brian Anderson hosted his first-annual meeting for orthodontists, with over 200 in attendance. Dr. Adams was awarded the Huntsman Chair at the University of Utah and Dr. Goring was the featured speaker for the Senior Games in Elko.

The EDS team has been busy making babies. We welcomed 2 new little girls (Carlie & Dr. Goring) and one baby boy (Andi). Michelle welcomed a new grandbaby. Our Orthodontic Assistant, Rachelle, graduated from high school and is now full time. Melody’s son left on an LDS mission. Tammie got married and Sylvia’s 2 children were off all summer/fall fighting fires.

We celebrated hundreds of new patient smiles and the amazing stories they represent, from kids gracing the covers of local magazines to winning awards for outstanding achievements. We love when patients share their successes with us and think it’s great that their Elko Smiles contribute to the incredible things they accomplish.

As we move into 2019, we hope you know we’ll be thinking of you…and all the ways we can make you smile in the new year.
